 Guram Karazanashvili – M.D., PhD, (Date of birth 1964) an urologist, head of urology service of the Medical Diagnostic Centre at Iv. Djavakhishvili’s Tbilisi State University; a member of the urology chair at Tbilisi State Medical University; a plenipotentiary member of the Association of Urologists of Europe; a member of the Association of Urologists of Georgia.
Field of his activity:  treatment of adenoma and cancer of prostate without section; contact lithotripsy of renal, ureteral and urinary calculus; echoscopy of prostate through rectum and prostate biopsy; renal draining under echoscopy control; percutaneous nephrostomy; radical surgery because of prostate cancer; surgery of renal, urinary prostate and external male genital organs’ diseases;
Field of the scientific interests: prostate diseases, urolithiasis.
He has worked in scientific-practical field abroad (Germany, Sweden and Russia - Moscow). He is a grant winner of Sweden Institute, an academy exchange grant winner of Germany and a grant winner of the Association of Urologists of Europe.
He has published 35 international publications.
